cougar mom

This advertisement for Restylane is a viral hopeful, but something about it bugs me, although I cannot put my finger on it.

Thanks to the YouTube “Most Adorable” category. Such a silly scene — hard not to laugh.

onitsuka tiger - made of japan

This 7 foot “sculpture” of the Onitsuka Tiger shoe features objects made “of” japan. The sculpture will be taken on tour throughout the world, apparently.

facebook eharmony parody

This parody of eHarmony highlights the “relationship status” on Facebook, which apparently is a very serious matter. (I still don’t know the elusive social rules for changing relationship status on these types of sites).

And this little ditty about Facebook made me smile:

vitos lingerie ad

Speaking of Busby Berkeley, this French advertisement from the 1950’s is a surreal way to sell ladies lingerie.

mad world

This song was featured in one of my favorite films, Donnie Darko. For some reason this video reminds me of a modern day Busby Berkeley. It is amazing that they did this entire segment in one take.

A new one from Brad Neely.

Mahna Mahna

It’s Saturday! Mahna mahna. That means Muppets! Mahna mahna. And animal! Mahna Mahna.

While you may be a huge fan of this song (everybody is), even Sandra Bullock:

You probably didn’t know that this song, by Piero Umiliani, originally appeared in the soundtrack of a Swedish skin flick:

“Mah Nà Mah Nà” debuted as part of Umiliani’s soundtrack for the Italian softcore pornography movie Svezia, Inferno e Paradiso (Sweden, Heaven and Hell) (1968), a pseudo-documentary film about wild sexual activity and other behavior in Sweden (”Mah Nà Mah Nà” accompanied a scene set in a sauna). A soundtrack album, “Svezia, Inferno e Paradiso” was released in 1968. The movie was also released under the English title Sweden Heaven and Hell.

Thanks Huck.

Horse riding with bicylists

This horsey broke out during the 1997 Criterium International, in the south of France near Toulouse. The horse entered the scene very close to the finish of the race (20km), but no, the horse didn’t win. It was disqualified for entering the pack late!

Oh, and it was also featured in Amelie.
