I cannot believe this is a trailer for a New Zealand horror film about killer sheep. Yes, that’s right, attack killer sheep, in the style of Night of the Living Dead. But, it isn’t a joke or a fake trailer — the film is currently playing in New York City. Don’t know if I ever will see the film, but the trailer is worth watching, partly because of the accidental (intentional?) humor.
From Microsoft Advertising Solutions, comes a little story about the relationship between a “traditional” advertiser and the consumer, on the verge of a break up. It showcases in a very funny way the current growing pains of the advertising industry.
Sure, sure. Everyone is all excited about the 30 year anniversary of Star Wars. But personally, I’m taking the next 3 years to properly gear up for the 30 year anniversary of Flash Gordon. (I recently went to the Air and Space Museum in Washington DC and saw a movie poster of Flash Gordon as part of their series of films that feature outer-space, which reminded me how awesome this flick is. Hey — if the Smithsonian can feature Flash Gordon, then Wastered most certainly should).
Ah, Queen, that bass line gets me every time….
This beautiful black and white video of Tokyo alternates between timelapse and slow motion. It conveys a lyrical quality about the city that reminds me of Godfrey Reggio’s intro to Koyaanisqatsi.

These are the happiest musicians from Brooklyn - ever.
This PSA of a Native American crying is something I remember seeing sandwiched between unmemorable cartoons on Saturday morning during my childhood. It was also featured the film Diggers, which was recently released on DVD and tells the story of friends from a small fishing town in New York State that are slowly losing their way of life to big corporate fisheries.
This Japanese TV spot features hot animated girls who are happier now that they use maxipads.
Soft jazz, and Andy Warhol? Warhol hails from Pittsburgh, so I have a special place in my heart for him since I’m from there as well–but this Japanese advertisement is pretty strange. Warhol closes his eyes for the majority of the commercial, holds a TV with color bars up on the screen, and speaks in monotone — all for the joy of selling cassette tapes for TDK.
